Courses available in September 2011

Individual and Group Instrumental Tuition currently on offer are: Piano, Guitar, Keyboard, Voice, Violin, Cello, Flute, Recorder, Harp, Drums, Clarinet and others. Adult and children, beginner-advanced catered for.

DROP-IN COURSES (FREE trial class! These are fun, informal, pay-as-you-go, exact change please.  Loyalty cards available)

*Friday Option* 

1. DoMiSo Musical Babies 3 months to 2 years (30 mins) at 10am 

Fridays at 10am €5 per class OR €45 for 10 with loyalty card.

2. GSMD Kindermusic 2-5 yr olds (30 mins)

Fridays at 10:40am €5 per class OR €45 for 10 with loyalty card.

6. Adult Choir - how to sing, how to read the score and lots of social singing fun!

Beginners to advanced welcome. 

Classes run one hour each Friday morning at 11:15am.

 12 WEEK PROGRESSIVE COURSES (These courses require a commitment of 12 weeks with a view to continuing throughout the year.)

1.  GSMD Kinder Junior&Senior Infants - Mondays 2:45 - 3:30pm  €90 (€7.50 per class)

2.  GSMD Pre- Instrumental Level 1-2 (1st class up - beginners welcome ) Mondays 4:15 - 5:00€90

EXAM-BASED COURSES

Grade 1 ABRSM Theory- Wait List for Term Two

Grade 2 ABRSM Theory- Thursdays 4.00-4.45 €135 per 12 week term/ reduced cost of €375 per academic year.

Mixed ability ABRSM Theory (please enquire for current level)- Thursdays 4:45 - 5:30 €135 per 12 week term/ reduced cost of €375 per academic year.

Exam Based Aural - Wait List only Term Two

Junior and Leaving certificate courses- several options available (group, individual, revision/grind course) please email info@gsmd.ie for more information.

12 WEEK SYLLBUS COURSES (These courses follow set content and finish with an open concert lesson) 

1. Children’s Choir Jnr and Snr available - Fridays at 4:45 - 5:30pm €5/€60 per term

2. Recorder/Flute ensemble - all skill levels welcome for ensemble work - Friday 3:30 to 4:15pm Fees subject to enrolment. Guide price €5/€60 per term. 

3. !NEW! cheekyGSMD JAMing Club (for young rockers) - Not available to complete beginners, so all instruments need the basics to work with a group, open to ages 10 and up.  Only 10 per class.   Drums, Bass, Lead, Keyboard, Vocals.   Wednesdays from 5pm - 6:30, ages 10 and up only.  €10 per session/€120 per term.
